Big Boy!

Tripp went to the doctor on Tuesday for his 2 month appointment. He measured 23 1/2 inches and weighed 15lbs 11oz putting him in the 99th percentile! We were so shocked... we knew he was big, but didn't realize how big! He also had to get his first round of shots which he wasn't too excited about, but he was over it in no time.

First Week Without Mom

It was back to work for me this week so Mimi and Aunt Tessa came up to stay with Tripp the first part of the week to make the adjustment a little easier on both of us. It was so nice to have them in town and we all enjoyed it. It was a rough week for me leaving the little guy, but of course he gave me something to smile about all day :)

Weekend with Papa Roy and Cousin Maci

Papa Roy and Cousin Maci came to visit us over the Labor Day weekend. We had a great time while they were in town and they both got to spend some quality time with our little man. Here are a few pictures from the weekend...

College Football Kickoff

Tripp celebrated his first college football weekend with both Mom and Dad's alma maters. We watched a UNT game on Thursday (yes, it was televised) and an OU game on Saturday (I know... a horrible first impression of the crimson & cream but we're hoping he won't remember the loss)

Cookout at the Stockton's

This weekend we went to a cookout at our friends Dana & Michael's house and introduced Tripp to some of our friends for the first time. Everyone passed him around and took their turn saying hello - he was quite the hit! He was very good the entire evening and slept pretty much the entire time dispite everyone loving on him. He did wake up to eat once and say hello so we were able to get a picture. This is Tripp and our good friend Emily who will be watching him when I'm back to work in a couple of weeks.

Weekend With Uncle Brett

Uncle Brett came to visit us from Texas this weekend and met little Tripp for the first time. We had a great weekend with him in town and we think he may have liked the little guy just a little :) Here are a couple of pics from the weekend.

Playtime with Dad

Time flies! It seems like we just brought Tripp home from the hospital and now he's already 4 weeks old. With every new day, he seems to be more alert and is staying awake more and more. We're also noticing him making faces and focusing on our faces when we talk to him. We're both so anxious to hear him coo for the first time... I guess any noise besides a cry or scream would be nice :) Tripp is starting to play with some of his toys too since some bright colors and moving objects seem to be holding his attention.
